BlackBook Premiere: Marley Carroll – “Speed Reader”

While the month of December might be slow for new releases, Marley Carroll’s Sings is coming out at just the right time. The Asheville, N.C. singer/producer’s latest record was made for getting cozy on cold days and nights, filling space as intimately as How To Dress Well or the Postal Service but unafraid of going harder and glitchier.

Ahead of Sings‘ release, check out the video for “Speed Reader,” directed by Daniel Judson. The clip follows Carroll as he slips between surreal worlds, ushered through by a pair of bewitching dancers.

Sings is out December 3 on Melanaster. Stream it now and follow Marley Carroll on Facebook and Bandcamp for more.
